We warmly invite you to attend The Birmingham English Language Postgraduate Conference (BELP 2013), which will be held at the University of Birmingham on Friday 1st March 2013.
The theme of this year’s conference is: “Interdisciplinarity in Linguistics and Language-Based Research”.
We invite contributions on any aspect of linguistics or language-based research, with a particular emphasis on research which is interdisciplinary in nature, or which could have an impact on disciplines outside that of linguistics. We welcome submissions on as broad and inclusive a basis as possible. Researchers based in departments other than linguistics and English Language are particularly encouraged to submit a proposal.
• 10th February 2013 – deadline for abstract submission
• 17th February 2013 – notification of submission outcome
• 1st March 2013 – Conference Day
We invite submissions for oral presentations (20 minutes, with 5 minutes for questions) and pecha kucha sessions. This conference is free to attend, and refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided on the day. Proposals should comprise a title and an abstract of no more than 500 words.
