The
University Graduate School has launched the annual competition for PGRs
who have made outstanding contributions in terms
of publication of their research, the Michael K. O’Rourke PhD Best
Publication Award. The PGR must be nominated by a supervisor, be the
major contributor (first or only author) to the publication and
registered at the University of Birmingham. The date of
publication (full publication, “in press” or DoI) must be within the
PGR’s period of registration (including writing up status). There will
be a winner from each College (decided by a College panel) and then an
overall winner decided by the Graduate School
Management Board. Announcements of the winners will take place next
June.
